A violent situation broke out in front of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s office at Nelum Mawatha in Battaramulla.
This came about when activists of some civic organisations reached the location and started protesting against the party.
Minister Prasana Ranatunga’s departure from the area was also obstructed by the protesting groups.
