The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced that three soldiers were slightly injured in an explosion near their vehicle near the Yalin area in southern Lebanon this morning.
UNIFIL said in a statement that all peacekeepers on patrol had returned safely to their base, noting that an investigation into the incident was underway.
In its statement, the force stressed that it reminds all parties and actors of their responsibility to avoid harming peacekeepers and civilians.
It is worth noting that UNIFIL is a multinational international force under the United Nations established to maintain peace in southern Lebanon.
