Ukraine’s long-awaited American-made F-16 fighter jet carried out its first combat mission after arriving in Ukraine. Report The Daily Telegraph: So far, these modern fighter jets have only been used for “air defense” missions.
According to the BBC, representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force did not deny this either. Bloomberg reported on Wednesday that the first small batch of F-16 fighter jets had arrived in Ukraine, and these reports were confirmed by several other Western and Ukrainian media.
The Daily Telegraph added: “It is expected that the aircraft will be restricted to air defence missions due to the threat posed by Russian surface-to-air missile systems close to the front lines.”
