Russia launched an attack on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kostynivka today, killing at least five civilians and wounding five others, the governor of the Donetsk region said.
Vadim Filashkin said rescue teams and police were working at the site of this morning’s explosion.
“I appeal to everyone: take care of yourselves and stay away,” Firashkin said on Telegram, without giving further details about the attack.
Kostantynivka is close to the Donetsk front, where Russian troops have been pushing forward for months. The Russian offensive has accelerated in recent weeks, with Russian troops launching a sustained assault on the city of Pokrovsk.
