UK to provide £500,000 to train English teachers in Mongolian provinces

AKIPRESS website – Under Secretary of State for Indo-Pacific Affairs Catherine West will attend the World Women’s Forum in Mongolia on August 22-23.
During the meeting, the British Deputy Secretary of State announced that the UK will provide a scholarship program of 500,000 pounds to train English teachers in various provinces of Mongolia.
“The UK and Mongolia agree that education is a tool for transformation for Mongolian youth. At the World Women’s Forum, I will highlight the UK’s commitment to teaching English to Mongolian students through scholarships for teachers in under-resourced schools. We will also continue to build on our historic relationship and work with Mongolia on international issues such as climate change,” she said.
The UK will continue to strengthen its work with Mongolia on gender equality, climate change and international issues.
