UAE sends aid plane to Philippines in response to Hurricane Karina disaster, following directives from UAE President

In accordance with the directives of the President of the country, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “May God protect him”, and within the framework of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to extend a helping hand to brotherly and friendly countries in times of crisis, the UAE has sent a plane full of relief supplies to the Philippines following the loss of life and heavy property damage caused by landslides and floods caused by Cyclone Karina.

Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, stressed that these efforts come within the framework of the UAE’s wise leadership’s keenness to provide urgent humanitarian support around the world.

His Excellency said: “The directives of His Highness the President, may God bless him, to provide assistance to the Philippines reflect the commitment of the UAE, its wise leadership and people, firmly rooted in the values ​​of solidarity and cooperation and always striving to be at the forefront of the nation in providing assistance, support and support to humanity during crises and natural disasters. She noted that the UAE’s relations with the Republic of the Philippines are historic and strong, and the UAE’s support in addressing the impact of this disaster is a testament to the depth of these relations.
