Two workers killed at Qarmet factory
In response to the death of two workers during maintenance work at the Qarmet Metallurgical Plant in Temirtau, the Labour Inspectorate set up a special committee and began an investigation.

The tragedy occurred at a steel processing plant. Workers fell while removing the roof of the building. One of the dead was 38 years old, and the other was only 19 years old. The management of the “Karmet” company said that safety regulations were not followed during work. The victims were workers of the contractor company that had a contract to repair the building.

— Within the framework of the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Labor Inspectorate has established a special commission to investigate the accident involving an employee of “Kazmehanomontazh” LLP. The circumstances and causes will be determined during the commission.
