His Excellency the President expressed his gratitude for her service and wished her all the best in her future endeavours.
In this regard, the President dismissed the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Osman Bah, in accordance with Article 71(4)(b) of the Constitution.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Technology, Professor Pierre Gomes, will oversee the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. The Minister of Information, Dr. Ismaila Sesay, will oversee the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy until further notice.
Separately, High Court judge Zainab Jawara Alami has resigned and has reportedly been offered an international appointment.
