FREEPORT, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas – With a series of major announcements and activities taking place on Grand Bahama Island over the past week, the island is experiencing a rebirth, said Jewel Edwards, a consultant to the Grand Bahama Ministry, on behalf of the Honorable Ginger Moxey, at the renaming ceremony of Margaritaville, Paradise on the Sea, on Sunday.
The Margaritaville Paradise at Sea (formerly Grand Classica) is a two-day cruise ship that travels between Grand Bahama Island and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ms Edwards added that Minister Moxie was very pleased and fully supported the rebranding of Margaretville Sea Paradise.
“Today is a significant day. As you can see, we have been actively engaged in initiatives to make Grand Bahama ‘Great’ Again. These initiatives underscore our intentional focus on collaboration, strategic partnerships and community development, as articulated in Our Blueprint for Change.”

Ms. Edwards said that a lot can be achieved when working together and the rebranding represents a rebirth. She said: “Your solid global lifestyle brand, dedicated to tropical vacations and relaxation, aligns perfectly with our multi-pronged marketing strategy for Grand Bahama Island. There are very clear synergies between us and we are very excited to be working with Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, an exciting new offshore resort experience. The timing is crucial as the island is undergoing a renaissance, Grand Bahama 4.0.”
“We have an amazing journey ahead of us. Let us work together to build a better Grand Bahama for everyone,” she said.
