Twitch has announced that it will increase subscription prices starting July 11 next year, a change that will be implemented in more than 30 regions, including several countries in Europe, the United States and New Zealand.
The platform announced a few weeks ago that it would update the cost of its plans and some changes will apply to the so-called Level 1 in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia or Canada. In Turkey, for example, the three available levels of service will become more expensive.
The streaming service has now confirmed that it will finally be increasing its subscription prices from July 11, with the change coming as part of its efforts to “help creators build and grow communities around the world.”
The company recalled that “Twitch subscription prices have been adjusted to take more into account the cost of living where subscribers live.”
Likewise, they assured in Account X that these prices will increase in “over 30 regions,” including New Zealand, the United States, and several European countries. In addition, it announced that all streamers and subscribers will be notified of these changes via email.
In the same post, he also announced that streamers will continue to earn income “according to their revenue split,” which is 50% or 70%, depending on their current Plus plan level; as the price of their plans increase, they will receive higher subscription payments.
