In collaboration with UNESCO and some centres of excellence in the South, the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World has developed a joint fellowship programme to enable outstanding researchers from the South to visit the centres regularly. A fellow is appointed for a three-year term, during which he/she can visit the centre twice for research collaboration. Nearly 300 centres have been selected to participate in the programme.
