Turkish citizen Onur Obut was responsible for a motorcycle accident in Mugla province, which killed Russian blogger Tatyana Ozolina, known on social networks as biker MotoTanya, the Sabah newspaper reported, citing investigative data.
How it is communicated Vesti.az TASS reported that the motorcycle driven by Obut hit Ozolina’s motorcycle from behind, causing the vehicle to be thrown to the side of the road. The investigation found that the Turk was responsible for the accident; according to the decision of prosecutor Mulla, he was brought to court, but was later released on his own recognizance. The Turkish motorcyclist stated during the interrogation that the fatal accident was the fault of the Russian woman.
According to Sabah, Ozolina’s body was transported from the morgue to Milas-Bodrum Airport by a private company and from there to Russia.
The Russian Consulate General in Antalya previously reported that it would provide necessary assistance in paperwork and repatriating the Russian woman’s remains to her homeland.
According to the security department of Mugla province, the accident in which Ozolina died occurred on July 22 on the Milas-Seke highway. She was not in danger of death due to a collision with another motorcycle. A criminal case has been opened and the incident is being investigated.
