Tunisia Telecom has been awarded approved economic operator status, becoming the first telecommunications operator in Tunisia to receive this status.
In fact, the Tunisian Customs granted Tunisia Telecom the status of approved operator during a ceremony held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at its headquarters.
Moreover, the Customs Department granted Tunisia Telecom this status only after a lengthy process and numerous interviews and visits to Tunisia Telecom’s business premises to control the procedures and standards adopted.
Mr. Lassaad Ben Dhiab, Chairman and CEO of Tunisia Telecom, proudly stressed: “This status is a testament to the confidence that Tunisian Customs has in Tunisia Telecom. The advantages of this status will allow Tunisia Telecom to strengthen its competitiveness and add more security to the business environment for its partners at the international level.
Tunisia Telecom is a national operator with international reach and this new status will support Tunisia Telecom’s new deployment dynamics, in line with its ambitions for national and regional leadership. »
