Trump’s message to far-right conclave: I will defend the border with Mexico

Mexico City (APRO) – Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, delivered a short video address during his participation in the Conservative Action Political Conference (CPAC), in which he reiterated his intention to protect the southern border of the United States, as well as to “defend the rule of law” in Mexico and throughout Latin America.

“People want safe streets and prosperity. Together we can achieve that and more. I have great respect for CPAC. Thank you very much, Mexico,” Trump told attendees led by actor Jorge Verástegui, who sought an independent candidacy for Mexico’s president in the last election.

Trump recalled that as the 46th president of the United States, he worked with Mexico to protect the nation’s southern border, so he insisted on doing so again and gaining favor when Americans vote on November 5.

During Trump’s term, Verastegui served as the director of the Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, becoming the only non-U.S.-born Hispanic collaborator of the president’s administration.

In his message, Trump acknowledged his ideological accord with organizations like CPAC, noting that he was “very honored” to attend the conference, which was attended by “freedom-loving patriots gathering in Mexico to celebrate the timeless principles that unite all conservatives around the world.”

Supported by an American flag, Trump insisted his return to the bank was to “protect our culture and sovereignty, and the values ​​of freedom, family and faith.”

“Even though we are tired, the battle is worth it. Hats off to President Javier Milley of Mexico and Argentina,” Trump said, even though Milley was not at the meeting because he canceled his attendance at CPAC days before the event.

Trump described Milley’s job as “fantastic” and applied a line from his previous presidential campaign to the South American country: “Let’s make Argentina great again.”

The Republican candidate concluded by blessing Mexico and the United States and reiterated his support for the conservative causes defended by CPAC, which is chaired in our country by Jorge Verástegui.
