Trump continues to deal with his rival Harris

Donald Trump is known for violently discrediting his political opponents. This also applies particularly to his current rival, Kamala Harris. Some of his party colleagues believe this is the wrong strategy.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has defended his personal attacks on Democratic rival Kamala Harris. “I think I have the right to make personal attacks on them,” Trump said at a news conference at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“I’m mad at her.” The 78-year-old Harris said others are also very angry at Harris because of what she has done to the country and how she has used the judicial system against opponents. “I don’t have much respect for her intelligence, and I think she would be a terrible president.” That’s why it’s so important that he wins the election in November.

Trump violently attacks Harris multiple times

Harris emerged as the Democratic presidential candidate to run against Trump in the election after U.S. President Joe Biden dropped out of the campaign trail, where Republicans have often denounced them as “stupid,” “crazy” and dangerous “left-wing radicals.”

He also recently attacked Harris harshly because of her origin and skin color. During an appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago, Trump claimed that Harris had long used her Indian ancestry in advertisements and then “suddenly became black.” This statement caused an uproar.

Many Republicans support Trump Strategy Change

Several Republicans — including Nikki Haley, who is running as a presidential candidate in the party’s primary — have recently publicly suggested that Trump use fewer personal attacks on Harris and instead make more substantive points.

Trump was asked about those comments at a news conference, but he dismissed the suggestion. Trump responded that his campaign was going well. “I think we’re hitting a nerve. This is a different type of race.”

“I have to do it my way”

“All we have to do is call our opponents communists, socialists or people who are going to destroy our country.” Trump said he appreciated Haley’s suggestion but added: “I have to do it my way.”

Harris also attacked him personally, calling him “weird.” The Republican claimed he was running a “very quiet campaign” compared to what the other side was doing and how radical and “sick” his opponent was.
