Travellers from the Nuer region said they were suffering as transport services from Gambella town to the Nuer region were suspended.
The Newlands station used by travelers from the region has been closed and the state government has decided to allow all travelers to use the main station. He also pointed out that reconciliation should be achieved between the Anuk and Nuer communities before the government adopts this decision.
Regarding residents’ complaints and safety issues, we were unable to get a response from the Gambella Mayor, Mr Galwak Gach, today.
