Tourists may have to cancel trips to four European countries

There is no need to panic about protests in resorts, but tourists should be wary of real fires in popular destinations. British tourists, at least, have been warned: they may have to cancel their trips to Turkey, Greece, Italy and Spain in July and August. The reasons have also been named, but these are not local protests against tourists: resort areas are becoming increasingly dry and hot, and given the initial weather forecast, there is a risk of another “breakout” of literal fires, reports Japanese. British media experts warn tourists, especially those traveling to Greece, Turkey and Italy, that “we are entering the bushfire season, which reaches its peak in July and August”. They note that the Mediterranean resorts are becoming increasingly drier and hotter, with temperatures reaching as high as over 50 degrees Celsius, and therefore, in recent years, every summer some resorts have become famous for devastating fires. Last summer, everyone reported on the burning of Rhodes, in 2022 on Turkey, most often Marmaris – but gradually, Italy, Spain and other Mediterranean countries are burning everywhere.
