Tinubu appoints new NPA managing director, former minister as board chairman

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dansoho as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Tinubu also approved the appointment of Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NPA.

Dr Dantsoho holds a PhD in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and a Masters in International Transport from Cardiff University, Wales, UK.

Prior to this role, he served in various capacities at the Nigerian Ports Authority including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the General Manager, Port Manager of Onne Port and Chief Manager, Tariffs and Billing.

The Chairman of the Board, Senator Adeyeye, is an experienced lawyer, journalist and politician.

He was a former Minister of State for Works and Senator for Ekiti South Senatorial District.
