The Mountain of Martyrs invites Puerto Ricans to remember the murdered young men Arnaldo Darío Rosado and Carlos Soto Alive on Thursday, July 25, at the foot of the Maravilla Mountain.
Since 1966, with the exception of two years of a pandemic, the entity founded by José Enrique Ayoroa Santaliz has been commemorating the date, recognizing that its impact goes beyond the struggle for independence.
The events will begin at 8:30 in the morning in front of the cross of the murdered young man and will commemorate the labor leader Ricardo Santos Ramos, known for his fight for workers’ rights and energy services as a human right.
The main message will be delivered by Juan Dalmau Ramírez, general secretary of the Puerto Rican Independence Party and gubernatorial candidate of the PIP-MVC coalition.
Other information will be given by José Rivera Rivera on the status of pensions, Sonia Santiago Hernández on the situation in Palestine and Martha Quiñones on the background of repression in the 70s.
After the political event, there will be several musical performances by Julia Rita Rodriguez, Raul Grant, Mickey Rivera and Joe Rivera.
