Personnel from the ECOH, the Public Ministry and the Investigative Police (PDI) are investigating the killing of a man in the Los Espejo metropolitan area.
The case came to light when the body was found on a public street around 2:20 p.m.
The victim, aged between 30 and 40, suffered two gunshot wounds: one in the face and the other in the left hip, and died at the scene.
According to the instructions of the procuratorate, specialized PDI personnel are responsible for investigating the case. The murder is part of a recent spate of crimes in Malaysia.
Recently, notable cases include a quadruple homicide in Kilikula and a shooting incident in Rampa that left five people dead.
Following these incidents, government and police authorities met to discuss security issues. In response, President Gabriel Borich announced the construction of a maximum-security prison in the metropolitan area.
