Uriel Quintero, 32, from Pueblo Nuevo, was identified by relatives after he was attacked with a knife near the Kiraly cemetery on Sunday morning in a life-or-death situation at the Alfonso Moncada Guillen Hospital in Ocotal, Nueva Segovia.
Uriel Quintero emigrated seven years ago after meeting his lover, settling in the city of Quilalí, where he has made his home.
However, his life took a drastic turn on Sunday when he was stabbed in the neck for reasons that remain unclear.
The unfortunate man was found bleeding outside the cemetery and police showed up and took him to a medical center in the area.
However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to Ocotal Hospital where he continues to receive a reserved prognosis while authorities investigate the circumstances of the bloody incident.
Uriel’s relatives in Pueblo Nuevo learned about the situation through a video leaked on social media, and they then rushed to check on his well-being Tuesday afternoon.
Uriel’s brother, Jolyon Quintero, called on the authorities to clarify the facts and arrest those responsible for the brutal attack.
