LUMA Energy, the private company responsible for the transmission and distribution system of electricity services on the island, has announced that parts of several municipalities may be without electricity on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, due to maintenance work.
Work includes strengthening poles, replacing and repairing wires and equipment, modernizing substations, clearing vegetation and other repairs.
The private company warned that the work could leave customers without power for a significant period of time.
These cities could be without power for up to 11 hours on Wednesday
