In a recent episode of “Win or Serve?” Nicolás Solabarita was surprised when he spoke about the clashes he had with his father, sports journalist Fernando Solabarita, after entering the world of reality TV.
In a conversation with Pangal Andrade, the latter asked Nicolás why he decided to become a football player, to which the partner of Valentina “Guarén” Torres replied: “A lifelong passion.”
Likewise, he admitted that he would not be returning to the sport, mentioning “When I was very young, my old man wanted to take me to the stadium to watch a game; I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to… One time, that happened to me, and that little bug started to take hold.”
Then, when asked about his relationship with his father, Nicholas noted: “I am a loving, good man; but suddenly there are certain boundaries that cannot be crossed.”
In this sense, he recalled his breakup with a journalist when he decided to participate in the reality show “Tierra Brava” and commented that his father told him “When did I go from being a son in college to being on a reality show?”
“Right before going in, I told him: ‘I don’t want to fight you, I’m not going into a bull run with this idea, so let’s talk’,” He added.
For his part, he said “We talked, we got along well and I went in, so hopefully with time it will be resolved.”
