Mpayimana Philippe asks people to try small teams and let them play
This was one of the things he returned to during his campaign on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, when he met with the people of Nyaruguru and Nyamagabe districts in Southern Province to apprise them of the goals and plans contained in about 50 strategies.
While addressing the residents of the area who came to listen to his words and intentions while in his birthplace of Nyaruguru area, candidate Mpayimana told them that they will be the ones who will be part of the administration for the next five years. After years of hearing his words and intentions, it is their responsibility to listen and understand what he wants to convey to them.
Mpayimana hopes village churches will reach out to Rwandans living abroad
He said: “The good thing is that we will always be grateful to those who reached out to us, indeed, actions speak for themselves, and teams are indeed irreplaceable, but we must also try small teams and put them in to see if what he promised us can be delivered to us, especially what democracy and others have said is how to elect leaders based on what he agreed with the people and lead them based on what they agreed to.”
Candidate Mpayimana also told residents of Nyaruguru that he will ensure that every resident speaks the same language.
He said, “Those things that are said about rikiyana have entered our governance in Rwanda, I want every citizen to say rikiyana, if this word should be broken or should be kept, it should be kept for everyone.”
Mpayimana wants two parliamentary seats for Rwandans living abroad
When arriving in Nyamagabe District, candidate Mpayimana spoke late about his love for the country, saying he wants Rwandans abroad to understand that the government is there before them and they should understand it.
He said: “I will do everything possible to get them seats in parliament but they come to this country like home, they get a lot of passports and we are involved in it, especially the Umudugudu church, I want to reach abroad.”
Some residents of Nyaruguru and Nyamagabe areas expressed satisfaction with some elements of candidate Mpayimana’s proposals and plans, saying there were things that could help them in their daily activities if he is elected and implemented, especially those that would lead to progress.
