Mexico City (apro) – In the office of Mayor Venustiano Carranza, near Morelos, agents of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrested two suspects who allegedly murdered with a gun a woman who was inside a beauty salon, located in the Jardín Balbuena neighborhood.
The agency, headed by Pablo Vázquez, reported that the alleged perpetrators, aged 32 and 27, were arrested with 23 bags of marijuana and cash, and that a 40-year-old man who tried to prevent the seizure was detained.
In a statement, he reported that the police received a report from the North Command and Control Center (C2) operator about an injured person in Anselmo Portilla Street, so they went to the location and upon arrival found the victim lying on the floor with blood on all parts of his body.
Due to the above, they called for emergency services, paramedics arrived and diagnosed the woman, named Gabriella, who had no vital signs due to the injection she had received.
Police subsequently cordoned off the area and called in specialist services to investigate the case, while interviewing an employee and the husband of the affected woman, who claimed that the woman was the owner of the business and was the subject of a direct attack.
According to eyewitnesses, SSC members were conducting reconnaissance patrols around the scene since the attackers escaped on a motorcycle.
As a result, they found the criminals at the corner of Hortelanos Street and Ferrocarril Interoceánico Street, where they were exchanging small packages of drugs for money, while they were standing next to a white motorcycle with orange rims with a logo that matched that of the vehicle that told them that the one they had escaped.
Uniformed police officers approached to conduct a preventive search, which led to the seizure of 23 bags of marijuana, cash and a motorcycle.
Both the alleged murderer and the man who tried to prevent his arrest were handed over to Public Ministry agents, with insurance, to put together the corresponding investigative files and determine their legal situation.
According to news reports, the woman was a victim of payment extortion at the apartment.
