Her Majesty the Queen and His Majesty Prince Ogen Wanfik performed Byangchub Mchod in Lhelila yesterday. He also attended the Rabgnas ceremony in Rten Gsar Sgrub.
His Majesty the King ordered the construction of this temple to celebrate the birth anniversaries of three Buddhist monks.
Byangchub Temple is located in Lhelila, where there is a road and many landmarks in the country.
If Gterton Bhug Sgra Rinpoche builds a temple related to Mchod Rten Rabgnas at that site, Bhutan will be protected and will bring great benefits to the country and the people, and they also fulfilled what was given.
The ceremony was presided over by the Government Temple Rinpoche.
His Majesty King Tsering Jamgon Wangchuk and His Majesty King Sangye Choedelung Wangchuk were bestowed with the King’s daughters-in-law, Deqin Jamzom Wangchuk and Yongso Nam Chokyi, during the Labunas ceremony.
Committee members involved in the construction of the temple and security personnel were also present at the meeting.
Construction of the temple began in February 2021 and was completed this month.
