The Sri Lankan cricket team participating in the 2020 World Cup arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (19th).
Sri Lanka T20 cricket team captain Wanindu Hasaranga said in an interview with the media that the players had to withdraw from the T20 competition as they were not performing properly.
Hasaranga said he regretted this as a team leader and player.
“As players, we know what we did wrong. We didn’t play well as players, so the batting, fielding and bowling as a team were not good,” he said.
Previously they came out through the regular passenger terminal, today they arranged to come out from the “Silk Road” terminal, which required payment and facilities.
