“The situation in the region is of serious concern. According to experts, recently, Kazakhstan has suffered unprecedented floods, which have caused huge losses. It is clear that it is impossible to overcome climate challenges alone.
I believe that the international community must continue to push firmly for economic decarbonization, but without undermining the urgent tasks of development and modernization for all countries.
We will be able to demonstrate our solidarity on the climate agenda at the upcoming COP29 meeting in Baku this November,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
