The section of the North-South Transport Corridor that passes through Armenia is a very important alternative that provides access to the Black Sea, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobani said in an interview with reporters at the Iranian Embassy.

“This is considered a shorter way. Construction works on the Agarak-Kajalan section through Armenia in the south of Armenia have already begun. This is a clear plan that must be implemented. This is the first stage. The construction of the Kajalan tunnel is planned for the second stage, and the tender will be announced soon. The construction of the road from Kajalan to Sisian is also expected to be announced in the near future, which will facilitate transportation. I should also point out that these ways do not replace each other, but complement each other.
