The minister said that to date, 25 foreign higher education institutions have opened branches in the country. Agreements have been reached with foreign partners to transform state universities in these regions into research universities with international educational standards.
This year, new student financial aid mechanisms were introduced. These include the unified voluntary savings system “Keleshek”, the “National Children’s Fund” program, simplified education loans and differentiated grants. These measures are aimed at ensuring that all categories of the population have access to higher education.
Dean Nurbek reported on the implementation of the presidential mission on the development of artificial intelligence. According to him, more than 2,000 students are currently studying in the field of artificial intelligence in 15 educational programs at 8 higher education institutions. Cooperation has been established with multinational companies such as Google, Nvidia, Coursera, 01 Edu System, Huawei, etc. to develop the potential of talents adapted to the digital economy. It is also planned to allocate 100 scholarships each year through the “Bolashak” program for the training of experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state set a number of tasks for the construction of dormitories, further development of higher education and scientific infrastructure.
