A 26-year-old man in Thimphu has been arrested for the alleged murder of a 13-year-old girl and a suspect has been arrested by Thimphu Police Station.
The crime took place on May 23, and the victim’s body went missing the following afternoon.
Police said the case was based on evidence and blood samples found on the girl, which were sent to the Attorney General’s Office along with test results.
Nanjie Police Chief said the suspect confessed to the crime.
A psychological examination showed that the suspect was in good physical condition.
The suspect’s blood sample, suspected to be linked to the murders of Gdanglass and Sparrow, has been sent to the UK for testing and police are awaiting the results.
The suspect denied any involvement in the other two cases.
The suspect hails from Mongal and is currently working in a shop in Thimphu.
Chief of Staff Namgyal Namgyal said the suspects had criminal records and they were accused of misconduct.

The victim’s sister went to Dechenphug Lhakhang to visit on May 23 and was found by police in Pamtsho the next afternoon.
An autopsy revealed bruises and cuts to the head, and according to the State General Hospital’s autopsy results, the victim was shot in the head and Guy was also injured.

After the incident, the suspect was arrested from Ramtangka in Paro at around 8 pm on May 30.
The victim, a sixth grade student, lived with her mother and uncle in Dechen Choe He lived in Gling.
