Chairman Kim Il Sung devoted his entire life to the cause of world independence and achieved indelible achievements.
At the end of the last century, when the cause of human independence suffered tests and setbacks, he proposed the tasks and ways to overcome these tests and smoothly advance this cause, and wisely led the struggle for this purpose, occupying a prominent position in his achievements.

At the end of the last century, some countries experienced an abnormal situation of the collapse of socialism and the revival of capitalism.
Imperialism has been hurling insults, saying that socialism has “ended” and that this is “the victory of capitalism over socialism.”

Socialist traitors maliciously undermine people’s faith in the socialist cause, saying that the socialist ideal itself is wrong and that the socialist revolution was a mistake from the very beginning.

And it proves with iron logic that socialism embodies the essence of social existence in which man eliminates the exploitation and oppression of man by man and lives together autonomously, and that with the progress of history and the improvement of the people’s autonomy and creativity, it will become more attractive and will surely triumph.

When talking with the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party, the Uruguayan March 26 Movement delegation and other political parties, heads of delegations and social figures from various countries visiting North Korea, Kim Il Sung pointed out that the fundamental reason for the overnight collapse of the socialist countries in Eastern Europe was that the ruling parties in these countries were divorced from the masses of the people, engaged in tyranny, subjectivism and bureaucracy.

In Juche 81 (1992), many foreign delegations and representatives visited North Korea on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of Chairman Kim Il Sung.

They vowed to follow Chairman Kim Il Sung’s instructions to adopt a correct common strategy for struggle in accordance with the requirements of changing circumstances and to work hard to defend and develop socialism.

Therefore, the historic Pyongyang Declaration was issued in Pyongyang as a common battle program for restoring socialism. More and more communist, worker’s and other progressive parties in the world signed the declaration and joined the struggle to build socialism. This has enabled the cause of human autonomy and socialism to advance victoriously along its own track.

The world’s progressive forces highly praised Kim Il-sung as “an outstanding leader of the world revolution” and “the standard-bearer of the world revolution.”

Chairman Kim Il Sung’s spirit of unremitting struggle for the cause of human independence still inspires many people today.

The immortal achievements made by Chairman Kim Il Sung for the cause of human independence are now reliably defended and praised by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. –O-
