The Nigeria Football Federation has announced its 23-player squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The alliance reportedly announced the news in a post on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
The new roster includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and seven forwards.

According to Nigeria’s Information newspaper, this tournament will be the first game for new German coach Bruno Labbadia.
Bender insurance safety Amas Obasogie will also return, as will South African defenders Olisa Ndah and Taiwo Awoniyi, who has not played since the 1-1 draw with Lesotho in the first round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Uyo last November.
Also returning after more than six months are Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi and defender William Ekong, the latter of whom recently moved to Al Holod Football Club in Saudi Arabia.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen was included in the list, while Ahmed Moussa was once again left out, casting uncertainty over his future with the team.
Nigeria will face Benin Republic on September 7 before taking on Rwanda three days later.
Meanwhile, all invited players are expected to gather in Uyo on Monday, September 2, ahead of the tournament, which could be their first meeting with new head coach Bruno Labbadia.
