The new Karakol International Airport looks like a mountain range

The facility has a capacity of 250 passengers per hour and a total airport area of ​​8,000 square meters.

The Minister of Presidential Affairs Kanibek Tumanbayev said the facility will be completed and put into operation this autumn.

According to the design, the artificial runway is planned to be extended by 400 meters to ensure that it can take off and land twin-engine medium-range narrow-body aircraft designed for medium and short-haul routes.

Zaparov also inspected the interior of the airport and ordered Tumanbayev to be in charge of the airport’s quality control. He noted that Karakol Airport will help attract more foreign tourists.
