The National Cyberspace Administration organized the closing ceremony of the 2024 Summer Cyber Youth Camp.
During the ceremony, His Excellency Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Ali Al-Farashid Al-Maliki, Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency, paid tribute to the agency’s partners in the camp, expert speakers, winners of the Consulting Corner competition, winners of the best hacker competition, and the winning team with the best project.
On the occasion, Ms. Dalal Al-Aqidi, Director of the National Cyber Excellence Department at the National Cybersecurity Agency, stated that today’s closing ceremony highlights the Agency’s efforts in supporting and enhancing the capabilities of young men and women participating in the summer Cyber Youth Camp, where the Agency worked hard throughout the camp to hone the skills of the participants, gaining a great deal of experience in handling cyberspace safely, confidently and effectively.
She added: “The first camp was a huge success, which is reflected in the projects presented today, created by the girls and boys who participated in the camp, in addition to the activities and events. The students were involved in an atmosphere that was both educational and entertaining.”
The summer camp, which consists of about 200 male and female students, aims to enhance young people’s awareness of the concepts of cybersecurity and digital safety, strengthen their ability to safely and effectively deal with the Internet and modern technologies, and enhance their cyber competence and social responsibility.
During the camp, the National Cyber Security Agency provided theoretical awareness training content and various practical training activities in Arabic and English. The camp also included many activities and projects, including theoretical lectures, intensive practical training, visual demonstrations, interactive games, and group and individual information competitions, in addition to a cyber consulting corner, open entertainment day, graduation project and field trips.
