Tazabek ——The Ministry of Energy expressed its opinion on the issue of water use for reservoir power generation.
According to the ministry, the daily electricity consumption in the Kyrgyz Republic is about 36 million kWh. 90% of this electricity is generated by the Lower Naryn Cascade Hydropower Station.
In this regard, the hydroelectric power plant generates electricity that can provide the necessary electricity for the population of the Kyrgyz Republic, depending on the specific water consumption per kilowatt-hour.
The department stressed that water consumption depends on electricity consumption.
The Department of Energy pointed out that the increase in electricity consumption in summer is mainly related to people’s use of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
