The Ministry of Education and Skill Development, which saw the highest number of resignations, has held consultations with the National Public Service Commission on the need for independence for the teaching service.
The issue is currently under discussion and no meaningful decision has been made yet.

He said timely assessment and monitoring of the quality of education at the grass-roots level by the Ministry of Education would help in determining the scale.
In this regard, Nima Dadul, director of the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Education, said that if the national curriculum is implemented and approved, the plan will also help the Ministry of Education to improve the existing system and teaching staff, “This can be done.” He said.
Under the scheme, contract teachers will be trained in partnership with educational institutions.

Many doubt how successful the ministry’s plans will be if the employment committee decides on the proposal independently.
