Due to the ongoing weather disturbance and the spread of low to medium clouds over the southern cities and governorates of Upper Egypt and the mountains south of the Red Sea in the Sinai Peninsula, thunderstorms of varying intensities were observed in these areas.

The Meteorological Department stated that there is active wind activity in several areas of southern Upper Egypt and the southern Red Sea mountains, raising dust and sand, stressing that in view of the apparent state of instability and weather disturbances, the following instructions must be followed for the sake of public safety:-

– Completely away from the valleyflood

– Parking is prohibited near lamp posts, billboards, trees or dilapidated buildings.

– In case of rain and strong winds, take shelter in the nearest building or car.

– Make sure to slow down on the road and use your warning lights while driving.
