Under the slogan “We Dream and We Achieve”, the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will celebrate tomorrow, Saturday, its 93rd National Day to mark the unification of the Kingdom and its creation at the hands of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, may God bless and have mercy on him.
On 17th of Ramadan 1351 AH, King Abdulaziz issued a royal decree unifying all parts of the modern Saudi state into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. September 23rd, 1932 AD was the day of the proclamation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s National Day.
At that time, a young nation emerged, which was proud of the application of Islamic law, resounded throughout the world with its teachings of tolerance and human values, spread the call for peace, kindness and blessings, and sought knowledge to create a better future for the Islamic country, for the people, and for the world.
On this occasion, the people of the Kingdom and those who live in its sacred land remember a glorious day, a day when Saudis were proud and honored for their religion and patriotism under the shadow of a wise government that considered it their first country. They also remember this moment because they live today in a new reality, full of huge development projects and wise vision projects that are a witness to the people of the world. The Kingdom’s progress and advancement are on par with the ranks of developed countries and bear witness to a great entity characterized by growth, security, ambition, determination and resolve to turn the impossible into reality on the land of its great motherland.
King Abdulaziz organized his modern state on the basis of modernization and contemporary development, and his country established diplomatic relations based on officially recognized international political representation, for which ambassadors, consuls, commissioners and ministers were appointed. In 1365 AH/1945 AD, the Arab League was founded in Cairo, with Saudi Arabia as one of the founding countries.
He worked to improve the social and economic conditions in the kingdom, paying attention to and valuing education by opening schools and institutions, sending missions abroad, encouraging the printing of books, especially Arabic and Islamic books, and paying attention to the two holy mosques, expanding them, and serving pilgrims and Umrah performers.
In 1357 AH / 1938 AD, oil was extracted in the Eastern Province, which helped increase monetary wealth and thus the development, progress and prosperity of the Kingdom. After the Saudi currency came into use, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority was established. Its natural position among other national currencies, the Kingdom purchased agricultural machinery and distributed it to farmers to promote agriculture, also built paved land roads, extended a railway connecting Riyadh and Dammam, connecting the Kingdom to the network. Wired and wireless communications, laid the core of civil aviation by establishing Saudi Arabian Airlines in 1945 AD, extending oil pipelines from the Gulf to Mediterranean ports, and opening Saudi Radio in 1368 AH / 1949 AD. The founder of the Kingdom, may God have mercy on him, was interested in establishing hospitals and health centers in various cities of the Kingdom, and established the Saudi passport system and other public facilities related to society.
The founding king laid a solid foundation for the establishment of the Kingdom, and successive generations of the Kingdom’s kings have devoted themselves to building, learning, progress and prosperity to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a world-class country. At the forefront of countries, they were able to do so. Since the unification, the Kingdom’s dedication and construction process has continued, and all kings have continued on the right path and kept in mind the service of the Kingdom and the people, building a strong, prosperous and advanced homeland, until the emergence of the Custodian of the Kingdom. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Two Holy Mosques took over the power and completed the cause started by his predecessors to create a strong and modern homeland.

The leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are currently experiencing the atmosphere of celebrating the National Day, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the State, with the right guidelines and noble messages, continuing the process of construction and development until this era led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved a high rate of development, economic reform, growth and expansion in all fields, and has now become one of the world’s twenty largest economies, the largest and strongest economy in the Middle East and the largest exporter of world oil. The wheel of development has not stopped, but the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 was approved, with the title of diversification of non-oil sources of income, and many vision plans have been implemented in the past period and have been successful. Economic reforms have achieved obvious positive results.
The launch of the Kingdom Vision 2030 has become a fundamental pillar of the Kingdom’s modern renaissance, responding to the noble aspirations of the Saudi people, who view it with optimism and work towards its realization with passion due to its ambitious goals. The plans it carries involve all sectors of society and shape every aspect of their lives.
The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has given extensive attention to tourism, approved several decisions to develop the sector, and established a number of large and ambitious projects, including the NEOM, Qiddiya, Red Sea and Amara projects, attracted investors in the construction of the largest commercial complex in the region, and established tourist seasons in all regions, the most important of which is the Riyadh Season.
In evaluating the Saudi experience, it is an established fact that the strong will, sincere determination and firm desire to advance the process of construction and progress have been a distinct and outstanding feature of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since its founding. The Kingdom’s history, from the era of its founder, King Abdulaziz, represents a rich period full of achievements in consolidating the foundations of the Kingdom’s development, establishing a solid national economic base, and placing it among the ranks of productive and exporting economies. The Kingdom has achieved a comprehensive renaissance, especially in science and education, a position that has helped to activate the Kingdom’s role in international groups, either through the United Nations, which it helped to establish, or through its derivative international institutions and other international agencies and organizations.
The development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia includes all sectors that are carried out according to well-researched scientific plans and concrete practical steps on the ground, others set specific dates for it to become a tributary of growth and development. From a political point of view, Saudi Arabia is considered an important country today. Saudi Arabia is a pillar in establishing security and peace in the regional and global environment, and its wise policies have achieved great success, thanks to the great diplomatic work being carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is considered an important regional and global political center as it hosts many important political summits, while the strong economic power possessed by Saudi Arabia gives it an advantage at the global economic level as it is a member of the G20 and an important framer of the global energy market, wisely working to balance the energy market under the most difficult circumstances, which has been witnessed by the whole world, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kingdom attaches great importance to the education sector and has launched a large-scale, high-quality scientific renaissance, including more than 6 million students at all levels of education, as they receive free education services provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to specific programs for foreign scholarships. The Kingdom also provides education for children at all levels through thousands of schools, 28 universities and a number of technical and administrative institutions throughout the Kingdom.
Since its founding, the Kingdom has attached great importance to public health, and health and treatment services have made great progress, with the number of hospitals reaching 274 government hospitals of various specialties with more than 53,000 beds.
Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to the transportation industry, especially due to its vast territory and important geographical location. The length of roads connecting major cities has reached 66,000 kilometers. It has 29 airports, including 5 international airports, 13 branch airports and 10 local airports. In addition, there are 9 seaports and more than 8,000 kilometers of railway lines.
Saudi Arabia has also made great efforts to protect the environment and combat climate change by establishing multiple terrestrial and marine nature reserves and adhering to the “Green Saudi Arabia” and “Green Middle East” initiatives. Saudi Arabia has also announced its goal of achieving zero carbon neutrality by 2060 through a circular carbon economy approach, as well as its intention to use clean and sustainable energy.
Today, as the people of the Kingdom celebrate their ninety-third National Day, they look forward with confidence to further achievements and the realization of the good and prosperity of the country, reflecting the strong will they have shown under their wise leadership to achieve the well-being of its citizens and everyone who lives on this sacred land, and to move forward in building epics and development, the Kingdom’s ambitious vision provides ample opportunities for a better tomorrow and a bright future.
The kingdom’s provinces and cities are preparing to celebrate the ninety-third National Day with the slogan “We Dream and We Achieve”, inspired by the dreams that have become closer and more realistic in all aspects of the lives of Saudi residents, as they are clearly reflected in the large-scale projects that the Kingdom is betting on in Vision 2030, which has enabled it to consolidate its strength and position, continuing to play an important and critical role at all levels.
The celebrations include many performances, the most notable of which is the “We Race the Dream” show by military and civilian aircraft flying over the capital Riyadh, Taif, Baha, Asir and Tabuk on September 23. A similar show took place over the northern corniche of Jeddah on September 20, followed by another over the corniche of Khobar on September 27, in addition to fireworks displays that will light up the skies of the Kingdom at more than 15 different locations, in addition to many art exhibitions, poetry festivals, plays, hymns, paintings and publications, including boys’ and girls’ schools, aimed at promoting the values ​​of belonging to the motherland and loyalty to its leadership.
