Even though there were so many new cars in town, we couldn’t move them!

Hundreds died and were left in trailers after Hurricane Dorian because a callous Duane Sands failed to issue death certificates.

Nassau | Recently, Duane Sands, the former Minister of Health who was “ruthlessly” defeated, has been talking about how bad the economy is in the media. We can only conclude that either the chairman of the Liberal National Movement is a good liar or he has never paid attention to what is happening around him.

Heartless Sands thinks the situation in the Bahamas is so bad that Bahamians can’t afford cars – leave it at that.

In the first place, any one who has been on the roads anywhere in New Providence knows that you can hardly walk the streets of this town, owing to the great commerce which is going on in the country.

Contrary to what Heartless Sands claims, most Bahamians who purchase new vehicles are unable to obtain plates because vehicle purchases outstrip the ability of the Road Traffic Department to keep up with the production of new plates.

Furthermore, BP invited Duane Sands to visit a car dealership on Shirley Street and attempt to purchase a vehicle on the spot! Some Bahamians wait two to three months for their new car to be ordered and delivered. The cars on the lot have already been sold and are waiting to be picked up! So what Heartless Sands said could not be true.

But we don’t expect the truth from people like Sands, who, according to the judge, committed “appalling” acts!

Bahamas unemployment rate drops to 8.8% – lowest level since Papa became prime minister in 2008

We at BP do not believe a word Heartless Sands says in this country.

We report yinner’s decision!
