Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received a report on the preparations of the country’s athletes for the XXIII Summer Olympic Games. The results of the license championships were also reported.
According to the minister, the Kazakh national team has licenses for 92 major quadrennial competitions in 25 sports. A total of 80 athletes will defend the country’s honor in Paris.
Elmek Malzhikpaev spoke about the national team’s pre-Olympic training and support measures for athletes. He also described the ongoing work on improving sports administration bodies.
The head of state noted that the Olympic Games carry a great responsibility for our athletes. He also noted that the Kazakh national team should lead the world in a cultured, restrained and advanced model.
