Last year, the bilateral trade volume between China and Kazakhstan increased by 30% to 31.5 billion US dollars. If the construction of the second line of the Dostyk-Mointyi railway is completed, the cargo transportation volume will increase fivefold, and 60 freight trains will pass through it every day. This will greatly affect the development of the Seven Rivers region. Today, the head of government paid a working visit to the region and visited some facilities.
Transport and logistics account for 7% of the region’s economy. If we look at the indicators for the first half of the year, at the beginning of the year the rate of automobile freight transport in the region was 55.7%, and six months later it reached 101.1%. There are 554 industrial sites in the region. 58 investment projects have been implemented. Since the beginning of the year, more than 1,500 new jobs have been created.
It is worth noting that the construction of the gas pipeline from Taldykorgan to Ushalar has already begun. The gas pipeline is 302 kilometers long. Construction is planned to be carried out in the next two years. But industry leaders say they will be completed ahead of schedule by the end of next year. After completion, 66 villages in Aksu, Salkan, and Alakol regions will receive blue fuel, and more than 120,000 people will consume natural gas.

– Currently, the gasification level in the Seven Rivers region is 47%. After the addition, the gasification volume reaches 90%. This is a huge achievement. Because natural gas did not enter the region until 2017.
