The government announced on Thursday evening that – Starting this Sunday the 14th – public transport will increase by $10 instead of $20 as recommended by an expert panel.

This announcement was published on Minister of TransportEra, Juan Carlos Muñoz at a press conference.

The panel decided to increase the cost of the card by $20, as well as the National Student Card (TNE) and the Senior Citizen Card (TAM) by $10.

He added that prices for students and senior citizens will remain the same, so there will be no increase this time. Same as the monthly maximum amount.
