The Dutch Foreign Ministry urged Dutch people to leave Lebanon due to the risk of escalation on the border with Israel, Lebanese news website reported on Wednesday.

Recently, many European and regional countries announced their intention to evacuate their nationals from Lebanon as the months-long confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah threatens to escalate.

Last Sunday, in the same escalating context, North Macedonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued for the first time a call from European countries for its citizens to leave Lebanon.

Canada also urged its citizens in Lebanon on Tuesday to leave the country “if they are able,” warning of a possible escalation of violence between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah amid the Gaza war.

On June 21, in view of the evolving security situation in the region, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again called on all citizens not to travel to the Republic of Lebanon at this time.
