Commander Diallo’s men put an end to the dreams of 52 migrants who wanted to reach Europe by canoe. The event took place yesterday, Monday 19 August 2024. The 52 candidates, including 40 Senegalese and 12 Guineans (Conakry), were intercepted in a Ndiaga NDIAYE type vehicle that was supposed to transport them to Rufisk, where a canoe was waiting for them. They were arrested near the Diamniadio exit and taken to the gendarmerie. They will be released this Tuesday, but the driver of the bus remains in detention and will soon be handed over to the prosecutor.
