The court examined in detail the events that led to Vilja Eerika’s death. Hearing their voices made many people angry.
A forensic examination found 89 signs of external violence on the girl’s body.
Prosecutors also described it as the most heinous crime in Finnish history.
The girl’s father and her female friend were sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. The appeals court did not change the verdict.
