Defending champions Dawasamu Secondary School in Tailevu are expected to retain their Under-18 title in the Weetbix Raluve competition after a hard-fought 19-12 win over Shri Gurunanak Khalsa College in Labasa.
Dawasamu dominated the first half and led 19-0 at halftime.
Despite a spirited fightback by Shri Gurunanak in the second half, Dawasam High School held on to win 19-12, continuing their title defence and booking a place in the semi-final against Natabua High School.
Natabua, on the other hand, had the biggest win of the quarter-finals.
With the help of sprinter Frances Tuva, the Western Giants booked a spot in the final four by defeating Nasinu Secondary School 41-0.
