Tunisia: Dams are only 26.6% full
The water situation in Tunisia remains worrying. According to a report of the National Agricultural Observatory (Onagri) on July 26, 2024, the filling rate of dams is only 26.6%.
Water storage in Tunisia’s dams decreased by 219.08 million cubic meters (-25.94%) compared to the average of the past three years. Its discharge was 625.46 million cubic meters, while the three-year average discharge was 844.54 million cubic meters.
All dams have a filling rate of less than 50%, ranging from 3% to 40%.
