The militant movement Hamas has called for a renewal of suicide attacks in response to Israeli military operations in the West Bank and ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip, Arab media reported.

Mashaal said the current situation required “open conflict” and called on Hamas supporters to “launch real resistance against the Zionist entity on multiple fronts.”
Israel launched a large-scale military operation in the northern occupied West Bank on Wednesday, killing 11 people, according to Palestinian officials. An Israeli army spokesman justified the operation by citing an increase in attacks against Israelis, which also coincided with a rise in violence against Palestinians by extremist Jewish settlers.
The situation in the West Bank has deteriorated sharply since the war in the Gaza Strip, which was triggered by Hamas’s attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 635 Palestinians have died in the West Bank since then during Israeli army operations and violent clashes.
