Today is the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Our Constitution is the result of a national referendum on August 30, 1995, and it is the foundation of our legal and democratic state. Every article of the Constitution reflects the aspirations of our people to build a state ruled by law that respects and protects the rights of every individual. The Constitution enshrines the right to life, liberty, personal security, freedom of expression, participation in government and many other rights.
